I really enjoyed reading Stacey’s poem and I thought it was a unique subject to write about. I especially liked the lines, ‘With every turn of my stomach/ I feel their slithering presence/ Snacking on my internal systems/ Robbing the nourishment/ I paid good money for.’ I think she used very good imagery to explain her experience. It had a very interesting twist. I think the poem is great as it is but if I am to give some suggestions, I think she could try playing around with some of the more common words like stomach, body, doctors. I think that would make the poem a lot stronger and more interesting as well. Great job overall!
