Reading Response: Week 8-2

The chapter on punctuation was quite interesting. I’m one of those people that cannot write without punctuation. Even when I was writing poetry, I used punctuations all the time. I found it a way to help me separate ideas, though I can understand why some people would prefer writing without any punctuation. When I did the exercise of writing without punctuation, I was able to free write better. So it might be something I can try when I am brainstorming for something to write.

Most importantly, this chapter introduced me to the panda anecdote. I found it was very amusing and it is something I’ll always remember about the semicolon.
