I have been really struggling to write a proper poem, and I found some of the techniques discussed in the chapter “Form and Structure” very helpful. I am one of those people who prefers having a topic assigned than being told to write about anything I want, so it was nice to have some options to help me with my writing. It was interesting how something as ordinary as a question and answer session can be transformed to something out of the ordinary by challenging the use of language. I hope to use this technique to help start writing a poem next time.
